FOOD! On this kind of trip, you can't get enough of it. My typical daily rations consisted of 4-5 packets of instant oatmeal, 6-candy bars, 3-4 large spoonfuls of peanut butter, and 1 pound of pasta. In towns I would eat all I could. I think my record was a 12" pepperoni pizza followed by a 12" ham and cheese grinder. All this, and I still lost too much weight!food.jpg (Jul. 30, 1998)
